When I was a kid, I always knew I wanted to do creative things. It started with me drawing, I wasn’t great by any measure but I did end up getting 3rd prize in a small competition as an 8-year-old.
Later, of course, music got the better of me and I was soon found in my parents basement hammering on an old keyboard. Ever since, I’ve loved making music in one way or another but I’ve always had a soft side for live music. There is something slightly magical about creating music on the spot with your friends and making it work together. I did get to enjoy being in a band with some friends in high school many years ago, it never went beyond rehearsing after class but it was still amazing.
Right now I’m very comfortable making music on my computer (I’m still in quarantine, 3 months and counting), but hopefully one day I can incorporate that magic of live music in my own music as well. I’m also looking forward to being able to see live performances again, hopefully sooner than later.
